So another month in 2018 is over, so it’s time for me to sum up what I have been loving this February. As someone who doesn't try new things or buys new things due to my lack of money, I’m actually quite surprised I’ve got a lot of things to talk about.

Music

Filthy - Justin Timberlake: Now everyone loves Justin, this is just a known fact, and I was very excited about him bringing out a new album. I actually didn’t know it came out when it did, my sister showed it to me. The music video for this is absolutely insane, and this style of song is very different for him, but it’s so good.

Manolo - Trip Lee: So I found this through J-Hope’s first ‘Hope On The Street’ VLive that he did with Jungkook. I always find the boys choose great songs to make choreography too and this one is no different. The video of Jungkook dancing to this is actually amazing, but the song itself is so good as well.

Was It Love - Isabella Summers: This is actually the title theme to Sky Atlantic’s ‘Riviera’. Personally, I wasn’t a massive fan of the show but whenever the title sequence came on I jammed to the song. I downloaded it straight away and have loved it ever since.

Kpop

RIAA: On 6th February BTS’s ‘MIC Drop Remix’ was certified gold by the RIAA, meaning they had half a million certified units. And later on the 9th February, BTS’s ‘DNA’ was also certified gold by the RIAA with the same amount of certified units. This is such a big deal as BTS are the first Korean group to warrant RIAA distinction! These boys are taking over the music scene, so watch out.

Billboard Photoshoot and Interviews: On the 15th February, Billboard released photos from BTS’s Cover Shoot. There were both group and individual shots as they did an 8-piece collection where each of the members had an individual cover, as well as there being a group cover. If this wasn’t enough they also released a behind the scenes of the photoshoot and 3 other video interviews. This is BTS getting the recognition they deserve.

Agust D: In preparation for Hixtape to drop I decided I really needed to re-listen to Suga’s mixtape and wow I forgot how good it was. I’m going to do an album breakdown post later on but for now I’ll just say it’s amazing, I love the look Suga has for this and the music videos are so intense I can’t express it.

Perfect Man Cover: BTS did a cover of Shinhwa’s ‘Perfect Man’ absolutely ages ago, but it is one of my favourite cover’s they’ve ever done! I wish they could record a studio version because I love it so much and Jimin owns this song. I urge you to watch a Jimin Focus Fancam of this performance!

TV

Once Upon A Time: Since finishing Teen Wolf I’ve been looking for another fantasy show to binge watch on Netflix, and so I discovered OUAT. At first I was not a fan of this show, all the acting was fairly mediocre and the special effects are so bad. But I’ve pushed through, and the more I’ve watched it, the more I really like the story behind it.

Celebs Go Dating: I couldn’t write this without talking about a crappy reality TV show so here we are. This is the 4th series of CGD but only the 2nd that I've watched. I watched the first series and absolutely loved it, but with it being on almost everyday it takes a lot of commitment to follow, but I followed this series as I really liked the people on it. The people that stood out for me were Sam Thompson, London Hughes and Ollie Locke.

Survival Of The Fittest: So I have another shitty reality show to talk about. This show is a take on Love Island, but made into a battle of the sexes and not so focused on the relationships. At first I wasn't too fussed, but after a week I was hooked and it’s safe to say I am obsessed. Obviously I am backing the girls to win, and I hope Jenny wins overall because she’s my favourite, but equally I really like James from the boys team so we shall see.

Film

Wild Child: Once again this is not a film that has come out this month, this is an old classic that I have to talk about. It recently got added to Netflix so I just had to watch it again and found myself quoting the entire film. I first watched this when I was fairly young so it has a very nostalgic feel. And as I said in my January Favourites, I love Emma Roberts so of course I was going to fall in love with this film. This is one of the 3 holy grail teen girl films, but personally it’s my favourite out of all of them. Mean Girls and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging are fab films but they have nothing on Wild Child.

The Incredibles 2: So this is a film that hasn't actually come out yet. A teaser for the film came out this month and wow oh wow am I excited for it? The first Incredibles is honestly my all time favourite animated film so you can imagine my excitement for the sequel. After watching the teaser I would describe this film as being an animated daddy day care but superhero edition. I’m beyond ready for it, and if some child tries to battle me for a ticket in the cinema they won't know what’s coming for them.

How To Train Your Dragon: Again, an old film, but a great film. I have watched the 2 HTTYD films so many times because they bring me so much joy. The comedy and animation style is absolutely perfect, but it also has some really tender moments as well. No matter how many times I watch the 2nd film I will always cry when Hiccup’s Dad dies (spoiler alert), it breaks my heart every time.

YouTube

Gabriella Lindley: Otherwise known as VelvetGh0st is my absolute favourite YouTuber. She is so real and authentic, which basically no YouTubers are these days and she’s absolutely hilarious. Both her vlogs and main channel are so amazing, I would urge everyone to subscribe to her because she honestly has the best personality.

Bangtan Edits: I love myself a BTS fan made video. Compilations and crack videos are one of my favourite things to watch and this channel does both of those amazingly. I always try and find new BTS fan channels and this is my newest discovery which I really really like.

Karma’s A Bitch: This is a trend that went absolutely mad in Asia and I love so much. It’s very similar to the ‘Don’t Judge Me Challenge’ as it’s a before and after makeover type trend, but it’s so much better. Instead of making your face ugly and demean stereotypical negative attributes of people, this is merely a before and after makeup and styling. The song used is amazing and the fact the ‘Oh well, karma's a bitch’ is taken from Veronica in Riverdale makes it that much better. Also, the third girl in the compilation is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE, she just looks so fire I can't cope.

Matt Steffanina Choreography: I’ve become obsessed with choreography videos recently, I think it’s me pining for dancing and wanting to see if I could dance the way I used too. Most dance videos are so fast it’s impossible to try and learn but the amazing thing about Matt is that he releases a tutorial for every choreography he does.

RPM Dance Crew: As I just said I’m obsessed with choreography at the moment, and this channel do kpop dance tutorials. How perfect?! The girls who run this channel and teach the dances break down the dance to make it really easy to follow and explain the routine really well. I’m hoping to use this channel to teach myself my favourite BTS choreographies.

Instagram

Wengie: Now Wengie is a YouTuber who I don’t actually watch, but have seen her in some of FBE’s ‘YouTuber React’ series. I haven't checked out her channel so who knows I might really like her videos, but I follow her on Instagram and I just love her feed. She’s got a mix of mainstream and asian content, and I just think she’s so beautiful and takes amazing pictures.

Maddie Perry: Keeping with the FBE theme, Maddie is one of the girls on the ‘College Kids React’ series and I’ve always thought she was so beautiful. Her Instagram has an amazing theme and I absolutely love her fashion sense and style, she always look so chic and well put together.

Jess Woodley: I discovered Jess through Made In Chelsea and she quickly became one of my favourite girls on the show. She has a really interesting and unique style that I don’t think anyone but her could pull off. If I had the confidence I would dress how she does, because she always looks incredible.

Angelique Cooper: So Angelique is the girlfriend of Sawyer Hartman and that’s how I first found out about her. When she appeared in one of his videos I thought she was so gorgeous I followed her on Instagram straight away. She varies her style so much, she’s got a very versatile look and that’s one of the main things I really like about her.

Makeup

Revlon Colorstay Powder: So Revlon is the brand I get my foundation from and it is my holy grail so I’d never stray from that. I wanted to try a new powder so I bought one from the same range as my foundation because I thought they’d compliment each other, and they really do. It glides perfectly onto my skin and leaves a lovely matte finish, which I love as I have naturally oily skin.

Revlon Instafix Highlight Stick: Another thing Revlon does often is deals, so when I purchased my foundation and the powder they were giving a highlight stick away for free, so of course I picked it up. I’ve never used a highlight stick before, I’ve only ever used powders, but I really like this. It blends really nicely and its very pigmented so I can tell it’s going to last me a long time.

Fashion

Tommy Hilfiger x GiGi Hadid: If you know me personally you’ll know I’m obsessed with Tommy Hilfiger and all I want in life is to own something from the Tommy x GiGi collection. They’ve recently came out with some new stuff and it’s even better than the series before. Obviously it’s extremely out of my price range so I’ll have to admire from afar.

So those are all the things I’ve been loving over February. I hope you enjoyed reading this and maybe got some recommendations and might check out some of the things I’ve talked about.

Tune in next time for another ramble about something I like, or a rant about something I don’t.
